  • Green jade is said to be connected to the heart center, the source of our bodhicitta. A unique stone, jade brings calm and serenity to those who wear it, relaxing the nervous system and bringing harmony into relationships and friendships.

All of our malas have been blessed by Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche and selected by senior Lamas of Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal.

  • Along the Mahayana and Vajrayana paths, we must utilize compassion to transform our afflictive emotions into awareness. As our awareness increases, so does our compassionate capacity to benefit others. This interdependence of emptiness and compassion is known as bodhicitta.Chitta means “heart” or “attitude.”Bodhi means “awake” or “enlightened.” Once we have completely opened up our hearts through bodhichitta, we spontaneously inspire those around us to pursue the same state of awakening.

Regarding the deep symbolism of the mala, Erik Pema Kunzang states the following:

One bead ties one hundred eight together.
One person in our life confirms certainty.
    It’s called the guru bead.
The outer guru shows you the way of wakeful knowing, beyond duality.
The ultimate guru is the wakeful knowing that knows itself.

  • 108 beads of 8 mm diameter, with Trikaya guru beads. White bead (conch shell) symbolizes Nirmanakaya, red (carnelian stone) Sambhogakaya, blue (lapis lazuli) Dharmakaya. The mala has a sliding knot to make it tighter or looser.

Approximate length 39.5 in, 2.6 oz.
