Avalokiteshvara is the embodiment of compassion. His mantra (om mani padme hum) is chanted across Tibet, Nepal, and other pockets of Vajrayana Buddhism,  invoking the qualities of love that are present within the Buddha nature of all beings. This statue of Avalokiteshvara is made of copper and is fully gold plated. It is unfilled.

Statues, thangkas, texts, and stupas are understood to be the physical representations of the Buddha's body, speech, and mind. They help us gather the beneficial conditions to gain stability and insight in our meditation practice. Kunkhyen Tenpe Nyima states in his instructions on meditation practice:

Start out by placing a painting or statue before you, using one made by a skilled artisan and with all the appropriate characteristics. Next, arrange offerings before it and begin with the preliminaries.

The Shakya family, one of the great artisan lineages of Kathmandu Valley, have expertly crafts our statues. Under the direct guidance of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, the Shakyas shaped several molds in accordance with the Chokling Tersar tradition. These same molds are still used to this day, ensuring that every detail of our statues is in accordance with tradition. Our statues are filled with the necessary mantras and substances.
